Sister Teresa

Photo of Sister Teresa

Sister Teresa has, for 31 years, been a Carmelite nun: an enjoyable contrast to her previous job as a deputy chief clerk for the Inner London Magistrates’ Courts. As a Carmelite she has been embroidering on commission as well as learning new skills: basic housework (sweeping and dusting), bee-keeping, theology, plainchant and contemplative prayer. She contributed to the Faith Column of the East Anglian Daily Press from 2011 and has been writing for The Oldie since the autumn of 2014.
