Empty New York

Blog | By James Fletcher | Apr 27, 2020

O. Ottomanelli & Sons on Bleeker Street is vintage New York in all senses.

A family butchers which has been serving excellent quality and value since World War Two. During the time of COVID19, Frank, Jerry, and Joe are still at work, supplying New Yorkers with a wide range of fresh meat. Food retailers have reported a large increase in sales, provoking the question: when the lockdown is lifted, will people stick with their new home-cooking skills and savings, or will they still have the same appetite for New York’s incredibly expensive restaurants - with 20% service charge plus 8.5% tax.
