Dafydd Jones, photographer of our The Way We Live Now series (on page 24 in this issue), has a new book out.

In Screen Time, published on 30th October, Dafydd skewers not just celebs such as Stephen Fry (pictured), but also the rest of phone-addicted Britain.

The book’s genesis is due in part to Alexander Chancellor, former editor of The Oldie.

‘When Alexander suggested I contribute The Way We Live Now, he noticed how many of my pictures featured people glued to their phones. Old people, young people, mothers with children, workmen, cops, cyclists, everyone – in shops, in the street, on the train, in galleries, in bars and restaurants, everywhere.

‘I’ve even seen a man standing at a urinal, a phone cradled in his free hand.’
