This week's Oldie pin-up is Sir Tom Stoppard. At 87, the Czech-born British playwright and screenwriter is one of our most celebrated living playwrights.
Tom Stoppard won an Oscar for the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love, but he is best known for his fantastic, intricately plotted plays. His most recent play was Leopoldstadt (2020), based on the experiences of his family during WWII. His hits include Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1966) and The Invention of Love (1997), now on at the Hampstead Theatre, starring Simon Russell Beale.
Hats off to you, Sir Tom, our planet-brained pin-up!
