Gyles Brandreth addresses the Oldie Literary Lunch on Tuesday 12 December 2023 at The National Liberal Club about his latest book on Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait.
Gyles reminisces about our legendary late Queen: on her gift for doing impressions, her love of Prince Philip, watching the Royal Variety concerts, his own diaries about the Royal Family since his Oxford days, and Lady Thatcher curtseying to the Queen – and being unable to get back up.
Listen here to a magical speech by Gyles.
